MICHAEL ROONEY - Musical Memories

Renowned Irish harpist Michael Rooney will perform many of his well-known compositions. His compositional journey began in 1995 and he continues to write for harp and orchestra with many of his pieces written to celebrate or commemorate events in Irish history; from famine times in Ireland, commemorating the Irish Rising of 1916, the Queen's visit to Ireland 2011, King Charles' visit to Sligo 2015. Michael will also perform repertoire associated with the Irish harp.


DRÅM – ERIK ASK-UPMARK & ANNA RYNEFORS - Nordic Harp Music

With their fresh and unique take on Nordic music, Dråm performs traditional music from Scandinavia in a captivating way that speaks to audienceseverywhere. This Swedish duo consists of Erik Ask-Upmark on harp, säckpipa and härjedalspipa and voice together with Anna Rynefors on nyckelharpa and säckpipa. Both the Nyckelharpa (keyed fiddle) and the säckpipa (Swedish bagpipe) are unique and ancient Swedish instruments that providethe intoxicating sound of the drone –or “Dråm”!
