C02 - Eva Curth and YCA

SAT 8TH APRIL

EVA CURTH - The Fabulous World of Bernard Andrès

The music by French composer Bernard Andrès (born 1941) is a true gift to the harp world. With a seemingly endless choice of pieces, he composed for both pedal and lever harps, from absolute beginner to professional and from conventional to contemporary – something for all levels and tastes! With only a few notes, Andrès creates magic moods in many styles from lyrical melodies to jazzy and oriental music and Eva tonight, playing both pedal and lever harps, will convey the distinctively recognisable French spirit of his music.

THE IAIN MACLEÒID YOUNG COMPOSER 2022

Anna Eggersberger will perform her winning piece Suite of Spices. From Bavaria, Germany, Anna moved to Ireland in 2018 to study lever harp at the Irish World Academy, University of Limerick. She graduated with a Bachelors in Performing Arts in 2022 and currently is studying a Masters in Irish Traditional Music Performance.
