TUE 11TH APRIL
Na Clàrsairean, the orchestra of the Edinburgh Branch of The Clarsach Society presents a new Suite Changing Seasons. Starting with Anne Macdearmid’s arrangement of Vivaldi’s much-loved Winter we move through the year with original compositions and arrangements by Isobel Mieras, Rosemary McKerchar and Margaret Collin of traditional Scottish tunes associated with Spring, Summer and Autumn.
HARPA is a unique ensemble of musicians from all parts of the United States. Harps harmonising old and new music to form new traditions. Their interpretations of traditional music from America and the northern lands of Scotland, Scandinavia, and Ireland have helped shape modern folk music in America today.
