TEACHING METHOD E+M: Teaching will be initially by ear with written music given out during or at the end of each session.
A celebration of a rich musical tradition – we will create a splendidly Scottish sound. Learn a tune a day from looking at the different types of tunes common in the Scottish repertoire, from wistful airs and waltzes to sprightly strathspeys, jigs and reels. Learn the stories behind melodies both old and new, explore left hand accompaniment possibilities and expand things beyond the arrangement taught.
