ELEANOR DUNSDON & GREGOR BLACK
Eleanor and Gregor are a Glasgow-based harp and percussion duo, who met during their postgraduate studies in Traditional Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2022. Blending their respective sounds of Scottish clarsach and Irish bodhrán, along with contemporary percussion and vocals, they form a creative new duo.
ROYAL NORTHERN COLLEGE OF MUSIC HARP ENSEMBLE
The RNCM Harp Ensemble is a highly experienced and versatile group of international students who
draw on their wide repertoire of music built up from their many lunchtime recitals, appearances at
Folk Festivals and working with various orchestras including the BBC Philharmonic. Their programme will include chamber music and music by contemporary composers including their director, Anne-Marie O’Farrell.
THE IAIN MACLEÒID YOUNG COMPOSER 2023:
The winner of the Clarsach Society’s Iain Macleòid Young Composer Award, Ireland's Donnchadh Mac Aodha, will perform his winning piece of music "Ambaist" and receive his award.
