HARMONISING TRADITIONS: REGIONAL IRISH TUNES FOR HARP - in person course

4 DAY COURSE: Sat / Sun / Mon / Tue 9am-10.30am
TUTOR: Malachy Arnold

LEVEL: Intermediate (see brochure p23 for explanation)
TEACHING METHOD E+M: Teaching will be initially by ear with written music

Immerse yourself in the art of adapting regional Irish tunes not typically associated with the harp. This course invites you to look at harp arrangements for these often overlooked melodies. Together, we'll embrace the subtleties and nuances of diverse Irish regions, weaving their musical tales into the harp's strings. Join us for a harmonious exploration, where the harp becomes a front storyteller, bridging the gap between tradition and innovation.
