W10 - The “King of Harmony” The Continuo and its Modern Evolution Adriano Sangineto

This workshop deals with the role of harp as a leading instrument of harmony in early music, the so-called “continuo.” A bass line can change the mood, lead the rhythm and give different nuances to a tune. In other words, it is one of the main factors responsible for the aesthetics of music. During the evolution of music its role has never changed. Adriano will show some examples taken from his own repertoire.
