C02 - SUE ROTHSTEIN/ALICE GUSE
SUE ROTHSTEIN
Inspired by her love of birds, Sue will perform several of her own bird-themed compositions accessible to students of varying experience as well as arrangements of some well-known favourite pieces and at least one harp classic. Sue is best known for her Animals on the Harp series of books for beginners and The Dream Studies for advanced concert harp. She is the harp teacher for London’s Junior Trinity and in 2018 was made an associate of the Royal Academy of Music.
ALICE GUSE
Alice will share a taste of her love for traditional and contemporary music with us as she performs contrasting pieces on both the clarsach and the pedal harp. Alice studied both pedal harp and clarsach at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and graduated BMus with honours. Since then she has been successfully developing her career as a harpist, including being awarded the Patrick McDonaldMemorial Award for Best Adaptation as part the Princess Margaret of the Isles Senior Clarsach competition.
