C03 - Wendy Stewart and the Galloway Agreement

The Galloway Agreement are an alternative string quintet based in South West Scotland, featuring Wendy Stewart (harp), Ruth Morris (nyckelharpa), Beth Porter (cello), Gavin Marwick (fiddle) and Stuart Macpherson (double bass). This combination produces a unique sound which the group love to explore through their own compositions, influenced by their varied musical backgrounds in folk, classical and jazz. Their concert will also feature music written for a theatre project with writer Tom Pow and Bird Theatre, Japan, which explores questions of rural depopulation through story, song and memory.
