AMY TURK
Amy Turk is a multi-genre harpist, composer, arranger
and session artist from Manchester. She is well known from her YouTube
videos, where she has covered classical, pop, rock, film and video game
music. In concert, Amy will present her story as a percussive harpist,
emulating acoustic guitarists through her arrangements of pop and rock
songs and her own compositions using percussion and extended effects.
ELEANOR DUNSDON, WAN XING & GREGOR BLACK
A
journey of cross-cultural improvisation, Hong Kong-based Guzheng player,
Wan Xing, teams up with harpist, Eleanor Dunsdon, and
percussionist/bodhrán player, Gregor Black, combining their distinct
musical backgrounds to create a unique new sound. The trio met in
Boston, Massachusetts, in 2023, during the Silkroad Ensemble's Global
Musician Workshop. They performed at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2025,
premiering their debut album, ‘Waves of Tradition’. Exploring the trio’s
Chinese-Scottish crossover, their programme highlights the relationships
between these instruments and cultures, as well as featuring the
premiere of a new commission for the trio by internationally acclaimed
harpist and composer, Maeve Gilchrist.
