Scotland’s
most celebrated poet, himself a fiddler, was also an important part of
18th c. music publishing, collecting and contributing to both Johnson’s
Scots Musical Museum and Thomson’s Select Collection of Original Scottish
Airs. Burns had a feel for a great tune and gathered them from both
Highland and Lowland sources. Growing up in Ayrshire, Burns was an early
influence for Karen. In this course she will guide you through some
instrumental versions of his well-known and less familiar works, helping
you to expand your repertoire with tunes that are not just for Burns
Nights!
Our system will automatically email you your course pack
