Wan
Xing, a visionary zheng musician from Hong Kong, weaves tradition with
innovation as an artist, curator, and educator. She invites you to step
into her world and experience the zheng up close. She will demonstrate the
essence of this ancient Chinese instrument, its basic techniques,
signature melodies from different regions of China and the similarities
and differences between zheng and harp. Joining with Eleanor Dunsdon, they
will demonstrate how to blend Chinese, Scottish and Irish music.
